Welcome to the Weald Harness Club…
In 1977 several driving enthusiast got together and decided to form a Regional Driving Club and called it The Weald Harness Club and although they took their driving seriously, and no sport is more steeped in tradition, they tried not to lose site of the fact that they were doing it for pleasure. In those days it was the grass roots to the ladder to National Events or enjoying the Club Level. The Weald Harness Club today aim for similar in that they organise low level Events and Social Occasions and also organise a Two Day Event where members are encouraged to aspire to a more technical Competition.
The Club covers a wide area from the Weald of Kent including parts of Kent and Sussex. We love to welcome new members and invite to you to complete an application form to join. This can be found under Information. Any of the Committee would be happy to speak with you ahead of joining and we hope to establish a mentoring system to ease you into the Club. You do not need to have your own turnout to join as we would welcome you as a spectator, train you to be a steward at any or all of our events or you might be willing to help a competitor as an extra pair of hands or to backstep. Our emphasis is enjoyment of the Carriagedriving sport with like-minded people.
